I purchased my first camera at age 11 from paper route money and bottle caps. For the next 40 years photographs were merely mementos, captured moments, of family, friends, holidays and trips. After retiring from my law practice, in 2006 I took up painting and quickly realized this was not my calling. What I was seeing needed to be captured more quickly. So, my cousin, a professional artist/photographer, sent me a Canon Elf, which I took to Egypt. This was my metaphorical aperture on more serious photography.
